With top contenders battling for supremacy and emerging talents making their mark, fans were treated to high-octane action across all classes.

MX1: Beaton and Webster’s Rivalry Intensifies

In the premier MX1 class, the duel between Monster Energy CDR Yamaha’s Jed Beaton and Boost Mobile Honda Racing’s Kyle Webster reached new heights. Beaton, who had capitalized on Webster’s misfortune in Wonthaggi, faced a resurgent Webster determined to reclaim his dominance.

The first moto saw Webster seize the holeshot, with Beaton in hot pursuit. The duo distanced themselves from the pack, engaging in a fierce battle that culminated in Webster narrowly clinching victory by just over a second. In the second moto, Beaton responded with a flawless performance, leading from start to finish and securing the overall round win. This result tightened the championship standings, setting the stage for an exhilarating mid-season showdown.

KTM Racing Team’s Nathan Crawford showcased consistency with a 6-2 finish, earning second overall, while Penrite Racing Empire Kawasaki’s Luke Clout rounded out the podium with two solid fourth-place finishes. Kirk Gibbs and Maximus Purvis also delivered commendable performances, maintaining their positions within the top five.

MX2: Connolly’s Commanding Lead

In the MX2 category, Polyflor Honda Racing’s Brodie Connolly continued his dominant streak, asserting his authority with back-to-back moto victories. Connolly’s impeccable starts and unrelenting pace left competitors trailing, as he extended his championship lead.

Yamaha’s Ryder Kingsford emerged as Connolly’s closest challenger, securing second place in both motos. Honda’s Alex Larwood demonstrated resilience, claiming third overall with consistent performances. KTM’s Byron Dennis and Noah Ferguson rounded out the top five, showcasing the depth of talent within the MX2 field.

MX3: Kingsford’s Consistency Pays Off

The MX3 class witnessed a fierce contest, with Honda’s Kayd Kingsford emerging victorious through consistent finishes. Despite not winning either moto, Kingsford’s 2-2 results were sufficient to secure the overall round win. Yamaha’s Ky Woods and Honda’s Jet Alsop completed the podium, each displaying remarkable speed and determination.

MXW and MX85: Youth and Experience Shine

In the Women’s MXW division, SCT Logistics Honda Racing’s Charli Cannon reaffirmed her dominance, leading from start to finish and extending her unbeaten run. Her flawless technique and racecraft continue to set the benchmark in the women’s field.

The MX85 class highlighted the sport’s future stars, with GASGAS rider Seth Thomas delivering a standout performance. Thomas’s aggressive riding and strategic overtakes secured him the top spot, signaling a promising career ahead.
